A question...

I received a comment from a user that was interested in seeing a searchable, sortable database based on Win Score or (probably better) Wins Produced. Something that would be updated daily and allow users to see team and individual stats, sort players by position, total Wins Produced, WP48, etc. It would take some time to get ready, but I'd be happy to do it. I'd like to know if there is more interest out there and I'd like to hear any further ideas you have about this. Please leave comments on what sort of things you'd like to see.

For my next post I'm planning on returning to the top ten list and do some adjustments based on positions and per-minute averages.

I would definitely appreciate such a database. I've often had idle thoughts about winscore, especially wondering exactly why a certain player is overvalued, or less valuable than others, and a database would certainly make that possible.

I second that for the exact same reasons as Rashad. Also, it would be interesting to see other stats like per-possession averages and shooting efficiency. I've thought about creating a similar database, but, yeah, it would obviously take some time.

But there definitely is demand for it

I'd love to see that.

Well, it looks like there is at least some interest. At least enough to make it worthwhile to put something together. Keep checking back here and I'll keep you updated on the new project. Thanks for reading.

I keep by game WinScores/min for the Bucks and a every 5 games for the all NBA players, dumping in the dougstats. I would prefer to use WinsProduced as it has more analytical meaning, but WinScores are not hard to caluculate and they give you a much clearer picture than box scores or any other metrics. Like I said, WinsProduced would be better, but in truth I'm not exactly sure what variables are used and which aren't.

With WinScores it is useful to inculde also the input variables by minute, along with field points per FGA. That helps you understand the difference in respective players' WinScores

I would LOVE for you to keep these statistics. I'd shout the name of your blog from the rafters. Please do it!
